Clothing is made from different fabrics. Like sometimes you buy polyester made clothing, sometimes you buy rayon or cotton made clothes or bedding products, but do you know what is cotton made of? Or about rayon, linen, and viscose in detail?

  •  Polyester

Polyester is also known as Polyethylene terephthalate microfiber is a man-made and synthetic material. Some polyester is made from ethylene and petroleum. This fabric is most popular and is used in textile industries for the manufacturing of bed sheets, apparel like shirts, pants, dresses, curtains, etc. Polyester fabric has many qualities like it is less expensive, dries quickly, resists wrinkle, etc. Generally, polyester need not be ironed but if you do so you have to take extra care as it can melt if ironed with high heat.

  •    Rayon

Rayon is made from cellulose which is created from wood pulp. Rayon fabric is neither natural nor synthetic because it is derived from a natural material and some chemicals, therefore it is considered a semi-synthetic fabric. Rayon has properties of silk, cotton, wool fabrics, rayon is popular because it provides coolness, in summer most people prefer this fabric as it keeps them cool.

  •  Cotton

Cotton is a natural fiber that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants. It is a soft, fluffy fiber that is mostly handpicked. Different processes like the spinning process, weaving process are required for converting cotton into clothing. Whether it's shirts, pants, dresses, bedsheets, curtains, towels or any clothing can be made with cotton fabric.

  • Viscose

Viscose is made from wood pulp that is a natural and chemical process that is why it is neither natural nor synthetic fabric. Viscose is a type of rayon that is used to make jackets, carpets, dresses, etc. Viscose-made clothing has a lustrous look, it is lightweight and soft.

  •   Linen

Linen is a versatile fabric that is made with a plant called flax. It is the oldest and desired fabric, women especially like to have linen curtains, towels, and clothes as linen-made clothing is durable, softer, cool, and highly absorbent. Linen-made bedsheets are considered the best type of sheets for hot sleepers.
